Core Features Volume Analysis Module
Calculate cut and fill volumes directly from point cloud data inside AutoCAD. Define a reference level, set your grid cell size, and get accurate volume results with 3D heatmap visualization — ideal for earthwork calculations, stockpile measurements, and terrain analysis.
Accurate volume calculations from scan data.
Cut & Fill Analysis
Calculate volumes by comparing the scanned surface against a reference level. The plugin automatically detects a reference level based on the minimum or average elevation, or you can enter a known value manually (NAP or any other datum). The analysis splits the results into cut volume (below reference) and fill volume (above reference), giving you a clear picture of material quantities for earthwork planning.
Grid-Based Calculation
The volume is calculated using a configurable grid with customizable cell sizes. The grid is fitted over the footprint of your point cloud data, and each cell calculates the volume based on the points it contains. Choose a cell size that matches your accuracy requirements — smaller cells for more detail, larger cells for faster results on big datasets. Supports PTS and XYZ point cloud formats.
3D Heatmap Visualization
See your volume results directly in AutoCAD as a color-coded 3D heatmap. Cut and fill areas are displayed with distinct color gradients so you can immediately identify high and low spots. The visualization is generated in the model space, making it easy to overlay with your existing drawings and share with project teams.
Reports & Export
Generate professional volume reports with a single command. Choose between HTML reports for quick viewing or Word documents (DOCX) for client deliverables. Reports include total cut and fill volumes, grid statistics, and visual heatmap representations — ready for engineering handover and project documentation.
