Core Features Cloud Align

Align and register point clouds without AutoCAD. Load several scans, register them onto each other, level the floor and set the real height, then export a clean, aligned point cloud for any CAD or BIM package.

Free for everyone — no licence, no time limit. Runs on your own PC; your scan data never leaves your computer.

Register Scans onto Each Other

Load several scans and bring them together in one coordinate system. Coarse-align a cloud onto the clouds already loaded, run a top-view registration, then let the fine registration find the overlap and snap it into place — the result is reported back with the overlap percentage and the number of iterations, so you can see how good the match actually is. Any cloud can be set as the reference cloud, and a match that turns out wrong is rejected instead of silently applied.

Level the Floor and Set the Real Height

Auto-level detects the largest near-horizontal plane — usually the floor — and lays it flat in one click, reporting the tilt it corrected. Or pick four points on the floor yourself and enter the floor level, so Z = 0 lands exactly where it belongs. Pick a wall to square the scan to the X or Y axis, or use the compass to align any plane to north, east, south or west. Your scan comes out straight, level and on the right height.

Manual Adjustment with Full Control

When automatic registration needs a hand, move and rotate the selected cloud with the arrow keys, with Shift-drag in the viewport, or with the manual adjustment buttons at a step size you set yourself. Place a rotation point anywhere on the scan to pivot around it. Every step can be undone and redone, so trying something out never costs you your work.

Clip, Section and Measure

A 3D clip box isolates exactly the part of the scan you want to see and work on, with the grid following the floor level you set. Switch between perspective and orthographic, zoom to extents, and measure distances directly on the point cloud. Per cloud you control visibility, point size and whether it is drawn in its own RGB colours or a single identifying colour.

Projects That Reopen Exactly as You Left Them

Save your work as a project and every registration, the levelling, the floor height and the clip box come back exactly as you left them. The source scans are copied into the project folder as well, so a project stays complete and reopens even if the original files have since been moved or deleted.

Reads and Writes the Formats You Already Use

Import LAS, E57, PTS, XYZ and ASC — several files at a time, of any size your machine can hold. Export the aligned result as one merged cloud or as a separate file per scan, as LAS, PTS or XYZ, in real-world coordinates. Whatever you feed in comes back out aligned and ready for AutoCAD, Revit, Recap or any other package in your workflow.

Free, Standalone, and Your Data Stays Yours

Cloud Align is completely free, with no licence key, no time limit and no account. It runs as a standalone Windows application, so no AutoCAD licence is needed. Nothing is uploaded: every point stays on your own computer. The interface is available in English and Dutch, in metres or millimetres, with a light and a dark theme, and the built-in manual is one click away.

Download Cloud Align — free

The full version, free for everyone. Windows 64-bit, no licence key and no account needed. There is no installer: unzip it and run it. It uses .NET and WebView2, which are already present on most PCs — and if something is missing, the program tells you.
